Both were wonderful holidays and we truly enjoyed being with all of our family. The kids all were happy with their gifts and have spent many hours with them. My middle child and oldest son, Matthew, had his 16th birthday on New Year's Eve. It took him many years to figure out that all of the parties were not in his honor, LOL. We celebrated his birthday with family on New Year's Day. We had great fun and he LOVES his new iPod Touch. I don't think he's put it down since he got it. Now he's studying for his permit. That is a very scary thought for me! I think he'll be okay though. He's a smart boy.

We are getting ready to take down Christmas. We had an awesome tree this year. I really hate to see it come down. Unfortunately, we need the room. Things are very crowded!! It is more amazing each year how quickly the season flies by. I didn't have time to get half of the things done that I wanted to. I am beginning to think I won't be able to do it all until I retire - which is too many years from now, LOL!

We are also getting ready to take my daughter back to school. I think she's starting to get a little antsy and misses all of her college buddies. We love having her home though and will be counting the days until she comes back. Fortunately we have a week before she goes back to Niagara University.

I am hoping to get some sewing done. I didn't accomplish half as much as I had hoped in this area for Christmas either. I have to get my fanny in gear and get it going!!CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-61820448848511154852008-11-29T14:00:00.012-05:002008-11-29T14:36:32.370-05:00A Holiday Recipe

Last year I made this cocoa recipe for the kids and couldn't keep enough on hand. So glad tomorrow is Friday. Even though it was a short work week it seems like it was 2 weeks with no weekend! Been working on some new stuff for my website. I have to take some pics and get them listed! Stay tuned for that!

I'm counting the days until my darling baby girl (so she's almost 19 - she's still my baby girl!) comes home from college for Thanksgiving break - 11 days! Since she went to school, I am home iwth my hubby and boys. Even the dog is a boy, LOL!! I miss her like crazy and am really getting tired of getting kicked out of my living room so they can watch sports all the time!! I've been banishing myself to my room so I can watch my TV or read, but all that's done is convince me that I need to redecorate my bedroom.

OIY!!CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-57880982210395774042008-11-10T11:03:00.003-05:002008-11-10T11:15:03.214-05:00Was it the last nice fall weekend?Hello Prim Friends! We spent a nice relaxing weekend at home.

I managed to get a bit of sewing done and some ornies made. I hope to have some of them on my website soon. Others were made specifically for an auction that is being hosted starting next week by a great forum that I belong to called The Ol Country Home. I will let you all know when it is up and ready for bids so make sure you check back often!

Hubby got a few things checked off his "honey do" list! I now have a light in my fridge again, YAY! For some reason it wouldn't come on when we changed it and he had to take it apart. We must have a "thing" going on with the lights in our house. The light over my sink went out and wouldn't work when we changed it. We figured out that it's the fixture and have to get a new one. I personally think that the house hit 20 years old and I need to throw everything out and start over again, LOL!! It sounds like a workable plan to me - but my hubby doesn't seem to agree!

The kids are off from school today and tomorrow due to a Conference Day and then Veterans' Day. I will be off tomorrow! Hope to get some more sewing done!CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-72926329822067923362008-11-06T18:05:00.002-05:002008-11-06T18:09:14.655-05:00Hop on over to Cowgirl Primitives and see Shannon's giveaway!

http://www.cowgirlprimitives.blogspot.com

She has great stuff and such a cute primitive blog!CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-49642277902220865472008-11-02T11:44:00.003-05:002008-11-02T11:59:55.382-05:00Oiy! What a day so far!So it's Sunday morning and I'm excited to get an extra hour of sleep due to "turn back the clock". Apparently the animals have no concept of time changes, because they were up at the crack of dawn. So I get up to take care of the animals and discover my youngest is up already and has a sore throat and a fever - but he's starving!! I get ready to make some breakfast for the starving boy - he loves the breakfast sandwiches!! I opened the cabinet under the sink to get a pan and find water in all of my pans!! Disgusting!! Apparently the water from the dishwasher is leaking! So hubby is off to Lowes to get some parts to fix it...this should be interesting!!!CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-22072872586231129252008-11-01T22:02:00.005-04:002008-11-04T15:51:06.894-05:00 This is one of my fave pics of the kids and I. Obviously a joyous occasion for me - Tina's High School Graduation!! We are very proud. Not sure where her father was when this pic was taken, LOL!!

Here is my youngest son, Jon, with our "puppy", Chopper. They were getting ready for a chorus concert for school. Tina could sing her life away. It is something she loves and excells at. She often performed several solos for school concerts and was active in H.S. Drama. She is hoping to find an outlet for singing at Niagara University where she is currently attending as a freshman. Matthew, on the other hand, got his music credit and has sadly retired from chorus, LOL.
CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-716378835616154194.post-11152073848474249352008-11-01T21:32:00.004-04:002008-11-01T21:53:04.346-04:00Well, my first blog post!

As I said I am 44 years old and am married to my wonderful husband of 21 years, Joe. We have 3 great kids, Tina, who is 18 and is a freshman at Niagara University here in Upstate NY. She aspires to be a High School English Teacher. Matthew, my middle child is going to be 16 on New Years Eve. It took him about 10 years to figure out that the party wasn't really for him, LOL. Matt is counting the days until he can get his drivers permit. And then there is my youngest son, Jonathan. He is 11 years old and in the 5th grade. Jon is trying to figure out who he is and where he fits in. My kids are the loves of my life and I enjoy every second I am with them.

Our home is in upstate New York and after being a SAHM for many years, I now work full time as the Transportation Dispatcher/Secretary for our local school district. My hubby is a project manager in the corporate offices at Wegmans. Wegmans is a local food chain here on the east coast (New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Massachusettes and Connecticut).CKPrim Ladyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07686790581247469053noreply@blogger.com0
